Static Content

Document Templates Management › Manage Document Package Template › Static Content

Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

1. Overview

A template's Static content tab reads: "Fixed content inserted at {--stc--Name--stc--} - plain text, formatted text, or the date the document is generated." Static content is used to embed fixed elements, such as a confidentiality notice or a date stamp, in every document the template produces. The Add static content button creates a new entry, and the grid lists each entry's Placeholder, Kind (for example, Current date), and Content (for example, October 09, 2026 (MMMM dd, yyyy)). Current date content offers several display formats.

2. Key Elements

  • Static content tab: found in step 1 Core setup of the template editor. The badge on the tab shows how many entries the template has.
  • Add static content: opens a form with Content title, Content type, and either Text or Date format, depending on the type selected.
  • Placeholder token: each entry is merged wherever its token, {--stc--Content title--stc--}, appears in the template's Word file. The form shows the token as you type the title.
  • Content types: Plain text (fixed text) or Current date (the date the document is generated, in the chosen format).
  • Grid tools: Edit and Delete on each row, plus a Search box and column filters.

3. Navigating to the Static Content Tab

  1. From the Contract Insight homepage, click the Administration icon at the bottom of the left navigation bar.
  2. Search for or click Document Templates.
  3. Click Open on the template you want to work with (see Template Overview).
  4. In step 1 Core setup, click the Static content tab.
