Electronic document processing combined with electronic signatures is an effective method of doing business. Below is useful information about CobbleStone® Document Processing and electronic signature offerings:
CobbleStone® Document Processing: CobbleStone® document processing, licensed under the CobbleStone® Document Collaboration Module enables organizations to leverage templates, standard text, merging field data, merging text, merging clauses, rules, storage, version tracking, permissions, workflow approvals, and document versioning to speed document processing for Requisition documents, Contract documents, Purchasing documents, Vendor/Customer documents, Sourcing documents and Employee documents. When combined with electronic signatures, document processing becomes more valuable.
CobbleStone® Electronic Signatures: CobbleStone® Electronic Signature Module is a good add-on to an organization’s document processing activities as it relates to Requisition documents, Contract documents, Purchasing documents, Vendor/Customer documents, Sourcing documents and Employee documents. CobbleStone®'s electronic signatures offer simple (basic) electronic signatures that include placing images of signature on documents and general acknowledgement confirming the signature by the signor. In general, the CobbleStone® electronic signed documents have basic validation and are tracible based on e-mail, signed image, and the signor's IP address and is stored on the server log for traceable. CobbleStone® Document Collaboration with E-Sign license option to has an option to enable PIN plus e-mail authentication for Signors for better traceability and security. As with any electronic signing option, be sure to have an attorney from your organization confirm the validity of each signed document based on the applicable governing law.
Advanced and Digital Signing: Digital Signing differs from electronic signatures as digital signing offers an enhanced digital certificate to validate the signor and signor process. For more advanced signing and Digital Signing, CobbleStone® offers integration with Adobe Sign and DocuSign.
Adobe Sign Integration Option: CobbleStone® offers a plug-in integration as an add-on license with Adobe Sign document signing. This process provides both the benefit of the CobbleStone® document processing features, plus the advanced signing capabilities of Adobe Sign. It helps with the document assembly, field merging, workflow approvals, version tracking and easy hand off to Adobe Sign for advanced signing [once fully signed the document is returned to CobbleStone® for further processing and storage]. Adobe Sign is a licensed by Adobe, subject to its License, and requires a separate license with Adobe. As with any electronic signing option, be sure to have an attorney from your organization confirm the validity of each signed document based on the applicable governing law.
