Clauses › Clause Library Management

Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

1. Overview

Clauses › Clause Library is the shared repository of named clauses that can be reused across contracts and playbooks. The record count next to the title shows how many clauses the library holds. The list shows each clause's Clause Group and Clause Text, with Print, Export, Extract with VISDOM and Add at the top of the page.

Clicking Manage opens a clause record with four tabs: Details (name, text, active status, group and VISDOM category), Clause Match (whether the clause is expected in a document and the percent match needed), Record Info, and Playbooks, which lists "The playbooks this clause is part of" and lets you add the clause to more playbooks or create a new one. Extract with VISDOM (formerly IntelliDraft.AI) reads uploaded agreements and lists the clauses it finds, ready to add to the library.

2. Key Elements

  • Details tab: Clause Name, Clause Text, ID, IsActive, Clause Group, Clause Preference, Visdom Category, Is Preferred Version, Federal Clause Library Number, Business Justification and Negotiating Comments.
  • Clause Match tab: Is Expected In Document and Percent Match Needed.
  • Playbooks tab: the playbooks the clause belongs to (shown as removable tags), Choose a playbook, Add and Add playbook....
