Bulk Text Extraction and File Migration Tool

Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

1. Overview

This legacy wiki topic covers the same Enterprise-Edition, OCR-dependent bulk text-mining capability described under Advanced File Search: a Bulk File Importer paired with a Bulk Text Extraction tool that pulls surrounding context (counterparty names, dates, clause language) out of large document sets using pipe-separated search terms. No dedicated screen for this combined tool was found in this QA environment during this review. As with Advanced File Search, the closest current equivalents are the Search Engine's document-text indexing and the Data Import / Bulk Import Attachments tools for moving large numbers of files or records into the system; a future review of the VISDOM AI & Automation module may also be relevant, since AI-assisted document analysis is a more likely home for this kind of bulk extraction in the redesigned application.

2. Key Elements

  • No dedicated Bulk File Importer / Bulk Text Extraction screen was located in this QA environment
  • Full-text indexing of attached documents (Search Engine) is the closest live equivalent for finding language across many files
  • Bulk file intake is handled by Bulk Import: Contract Attachments and the Data Import Manager
  • AI-assisted document analysis, if present, is more likely documented under the VISDOM AI & Automation module in a later wave
