Bulk Import: Contract Attachments

03. Admin User Manual › Account Maintenance › Bulk Import: Contract Attachments

Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

1. Overview

Administration > Bulk Import Attachments is a dedicated screen for uploading many files at once and then filing each one onto the contract it belongs to, rather than attaching files one record at a time. A drop zone at the top of the page ("Drop attachments here or click to browse") lets users pick where files go before anything uploads, either straight onto a contract or into a pending holding list to sort out later; nothing uploads until the user confirms. Below it, the Pending attachments list (534 files in this QA environment) shows every file that has been stored but not yet filed onto a record, with columns for Pick, File, Uploaded date/time, By (uploader), and Status. Files whose contract was later deleted are flagged with a "Contract deleted" status so they can be filed elsewhere or removed; Select all, Clear, a per-row Delete button, and a Search box help manage a long pending list.

2. Key Elements

  • Drop files or click Browse in the Add attachments drop zone; nothing uploads until you confirm where each file goes
  • Choose to file a dropped attachment straight onto a contract, or leave it in the pending list to sort out later
  • The Pending attachments list tracks File, Uploaded date, By (uploader), and Status for every unfiled attachment
  • Files marked "Contract deleted" were left behind when the contract they were uploaded against was later removed
  • Use Select all, Clear, the Search box, and per-row Delete to manage a large pending list
