1. Overview
Dutch Auction is a live solicitation type: Add Solicitation (Sourcing > Solicitations > Add) offers it as a quick-pick alongside RFP and RFI, and Field Management > Solicitation Details > Record types lists a dedicated "Dutch Auction" record type (plus test variants). Every solicitation's Record Details carries a Dutch Auction Settings section with Starting Price, Price Decrease Amount, and Last Price Update fields — confirmed live on an example record (Starting Price 1.00, Price Decrease Amount 1.00) — matching the legacy description of a reverse-bidding format where a starting price decreases over time until a vendor bids. A real example, "New Paper Supplier (Dutch Auction)," exists in the Solicitations list.
