Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.
1. Overview
This legacy topic was a management-focused companion to the general permissions overview; its live equivalent is the same Security & Access category of admin tools, viewed from the perspective of day-to-day administration rather than initial setup — reviewing who currently has access (Session Manager, License & Session Usage), adjusting one person's access (Employee Permissions), and maintaining the groups and rules that grant access at scale (Security Groups, Manage User Permissions, Roles).
2. Key Elements
- Ongoing access management is centered on Administration > Security & Access, which surfaces eleven tools together rather than splitting security management across separate legacy screens.
- Session Manager (Administration > Session Manager) shows everyone currently signed in across the application, their sign-in and expiry times, access level, and product, with per-person "Sign out" and a "Sign everyone out" action for the whole list.
- License & Session Usage (linked from Session Manager via "Usage") tracks seat consumption over time by license level, useful for confirming the organization isn't approaching its licensed seat limits.
- Security Groups and Manage User Permissions remain the two tools for maintaining access at scale: Security Groups for named, reusable bundles of permissions plus membership, and Manage User Permissions for the individual permission definitions those groups draw on.
