CobbleStone® Software Licensing Model

Application User Licensing Pool Types:  Traditional and Levels

The Application User Licensing Pool Type deals with your organization’s decision regarding how to pool the available user licensing seats to be utilized by your organization’s user community. If your organization wishes to establish and manage a single common pool of available user licensing seats to service the access needs of the organization’s entire application user community without regard to user roles/levels/groups, then your organization should select CobbleStone®’s TRADITIONAL Pool Type. This type of user licensing pool allows all available user licensing seats to be available for use by your organization’s entire user universe defined in the application system.

 

If your organization wishes to establish and manage distinct segregated pools of available user licensing seats by user roles/levels/groups (ADMIN, SUPER/POWER, STANDARD, READ-ONLY) to service the access needs of the organization’s entire application user community, then your organization should select CobbleStone®’s LEVELS Pool Type. This type of user licensing pool reserves available user licensing seats by user roles/levels/groups to be available for use by your organization’s user universe defined in the application system that are assigned to the specific user/role/level/group.

 

User Licensing Types:  Named and Concurrent

CobbleStone® Enterprise user licensing is available as either Named Licenses or Concurrent Licenses.   A Named License allows access for one specific person.  Concurrent Licenses are not tied to any specific person; the number of Concurrent Licenses purchased defines the total number of users that can be connected to the system at one time.  The number of users that can access Contract Insight® at any given time is determined by the amount of user licenses that are purchased.

 

CobbleStone® offers Concurrent user licenses for Contract Insight® Enterprise Edition and defines concurrent users as the total number of users accessing the Licensed Software within a specified Server Session time-out period. An number of named users may be defined and have access privileges (active username and password) to the system and receive email alerts and calendar notifications.   Concurrent User Licensing is available for the ENTERPRISE Edition only.

 

CobbleStone® offers Named user licenses for Contract Insight® Enterprise Edition and defines named users as individuals authorized by the Application Administrator to use the system which is installed on a single server or multiple servers regardless of whether or not the individual is actively using the system at any given time.  A user must be named and activated to have access privileges (active username and password).  Named User Licensing is available for the ENTERPRISE, WorkGroup, and EXPRESS Editions.

How can I become a Reseller for CobbleStone® Software?

Any company wishing to become a CobbleStone® Reseller should contact CobbleStone®, either by emailing partners@CobbleStonesoftware.com or completing the partner form on our website.   To submit the form, go to the CobbleStone® Software website, click on the Company menu, then select Qualified Partner Program.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill out the form.  Under Which partner program(s) are you interested in?, select Reseller Partner.  Once the form is filled out complete, click the SEND ME PARNER INFO button.

 

Once you submit the partnering request, CobbleStone®’s Partnership Team will then engage with you to discuss the possibility of partnering in more detail.  The new partner must sign CobbleStone®’s NDA and Reseller Partner Agreement.  You will then learn about CobbleStone® Software products by taking the CobbleStone® Software training course.  To finalize the partnership, you must take and pass the following CobbleStone® University Certification Program (CUCP) Assessments to receive your CobbleStone®
