User-Defined Tables

03. Admin User Manual › Account Maintenance › User-Defined Tables

Note: Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

1. Overview

"My tables" at the top of Field Management is where user-defined (custom) tables are created and configured: Add table starts a new one, and its Area setup tab defines what people see (name, description, icon) and how records in it can be added — one at a time or several at once, optionally with saved starting-row templates.

2. Key Elements

  • Administration → Field Management → My tables / Add table creates a new user-defined table alongside CobbleStone's built-in areas
  • Area setup tab: Name, Description and Icon under "What people see"; "How records can be added" under "Adding records"
  • "Offer a blank template when adding several at once" and "Saved starting rows" (managed separately) support bulk data entry into a custom table
  • The huge list of tables named things like "CK Table 1," "Subtable 2" and "Test Table 4379" throughout Administration are examples of user-defined tables created over time in this QA environment
