Users who knew the old screens can find where each one went
The Help menu in the header carries a Coming from legacy? entry. A user types the name of a screen as they knew it in version 22.7, and the answer says in plain words what happened to it and where it is now, with a button that takes them there. Where a screen has no direct equivalent, it names the nearest one. The same page answers any saved link to a screen that no longer exists, so a stale bookmark becomes a signpost rather than an error.
A Faster, Easier Everyday Experience
- Read first, edit when you choose. Records now open as a clean, readable summary. You can open the whole record, just one section, or a single field to make a change - which also means far fewer accidental edits.
- Works on your phone or tablet. Screens now adapt to any device, so approving a task or checking a record away from your desk is practical for the first time.
- Dark mode and personal color themes. Along with an interface zoom control, so everyone can set up the application the way they like it.
- One search box for everything. Find records, screens, and even text inside attachments as you type - and Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) jumps anywhere in the application instantly.
- See who else is on a record. Faces show who is viewing or editing a record right now, and changes from a colleague arrive without a refresh.
- Save your place. Every add screen now offers “Save as draft,” so unfinished work can be picked back up later instead of lost.
- Built-in guided tours. Over a hundred short walkthroughs help new users get oriented on their own.
Smarter Setup, Health Checks & Performance
- Launchpad. A new guided setup workspace with a readiness score walks an administrator through getting a system live.
- System Health. Ongoing checks catch duplicate values, orphaned data, and other issues automatically, with one-click fixes and an undo.
- Noticeably faster. Records, lists, and dashboards load significantly faster, especially on large or heavily configured systems.
Contract Insights & Reporting
- New analytics dashboards. “Contract Insights” brings together renewals, financials, approvals, cycle time, and more, each with a plain-English AI-written summary on request.
- Simpler reporting. One reports list covers everything you can run, and the ad-hoc report designer now shows a live preview as you build.
VISDOM AI
- Ask questions in plain English. About a specific record or your whole portfolio, with answers drawn from your own data.
- See what's missing, not just what matches. Compare a document against your playbook and get a clear read on gaps, not only matches.
- Drafts to save you time. VISDOM can draft a negotiation brief, suggest clause language, and search your clause library by meaning rather than exact keywords.
Document Signing & Collaboration
- Every approval and signature in one place. See the status of every process from a single screen, and pause, resume, or reassign a step without starting over.
- Work with documents in place. Read, compare, and redline attached documents without leaving Contract Insight.
Security & Integrations
- Single sign-on keeps working. No changes are required on your end to upgrade, though we recommend a quick sign-in test beforehand.
- Word and Outlook add-ins continue to work. Nothing to reinstall or reconfigure.
- Clearer connected-app management. Administrators get one place to review and manage API access and connected applications.
A Few Things to Know Before You Upgrade
- New default menu and home screen. Everyone will see a new standard menu and dashboard at first sign-in. Your own customized menus and dashboards are kept and can be restored as the default at any time.
- One active session per user. Signing in again elsewhere now ends the earlier session, with a clear message explaining why.
- A few older tools have been replaced. Including automatic redlining (now Playbook Redline), in-app person-to-person chat, and on-demand text recognition for scanned documents - each with a stronger equivalent described in the full release notes.
