### **Types of Authentication**

**Document Collaboration Gateway E-Approvals & E-Signatures: Types of Authentication** There are two distinct types of authentication that can be used for the E-Processes: 1. **Secure PIN** – This requires users to select a password for the collaboration portal. If they have not previously used the portal, the user is asked to create a PIN (This PIN does not have to be numeric). If it is not his or her first time, the user needs to use the PIN already created. 2. **Open URL Link** – This option gives a link to the E-Process and takes users directly to the portal without requiring authentication.
