**Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

# 1. Overview

**Field Management**'s **Sub-tables** tab controls exactly which **sub-tables** can be filled in while a record is first being created, rather than only after: for Contract Details in this QA environment, 2 of 72 available **sub-tables** (Contract Task Details and Field Types Sub Table on Contract) are enabled **on the Add screen**.

# 2. Key Elements

- Administration → **Field Management** → **Sub-tables** tab: "X of Y **sub-tables** can be filled in while a record is being created"
- A Show filter narrows the grid to just those currently "**On the Add screen**"
- Remove / Add toggles a sub-table's Add-screen availability without deleting the sub-table or its fields
