Admin User Manual › VISDOM & Risk Management › Risk Mapper and Profiler* **Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments. # 1. Overview Risk profiling is configured in **Administration → Master Reference Data → Risk Profiler Categories**. Each Risk Profiler Category defines one risk-profile question or category that a record's risk profile is built from. A category has a **Risk Category Name**, a **Risk Profile Description** (the question or statement being assessed), an **Is Active** flag, a system-assigned **RiskProfilerCategoryID**, and **Parent Records to include for** — the record types (for example tblContracts, tblCustomers, or tblSolicitations) the category applies to. This is the mapping layer behind VISDOM's and the application's risk scoring: it defines the question set and categories keyed to each record type, so contracts, vendor/customer records, solicitations, and other record types can each have their own relevant risk questions. # 2. Key Elements - **Risk Profiler Categories list**: a tab on the Master Reference Data page showing **Parent Records to include for**, **Risk Profile Description**, **Is Active**, and **RiskProfilerCategoryID** for every category, with **+ New**, **Export**, column chooser, filter, and **Search** tools, and a **Manage** button on each row. - **Risk Category Name**: the short name of the category (for example, *Debt Risk*). - **Risk Profile Description**: the question or statement the category assesses (for example, *amount of debt risk*). - **Is Active**: marks whether the category is in use. Clear it to retire a category without deleting it. - **Parent Records to include for**: a multi-select of the record types the category applies to — tblContracts, tblCustomers, tblSolicitations, tblPurchaseOrders, tblEmployees, and tblContractExternalRequest. - **RiskProfilerCategoryID**, **Entered By**, **Date Entered**, **Updated By**, and **Date Updated**: filled in automatically by the system and read-only. # 3. Navigating to Risk Profiler Categories 1. From the Contract Insight homepage, click the **Administration** icon at the bottom of the left navigation bar. 2. In the **Search administration** box, type **risk**. 3. Under **Lookup Tables**, click the **Risk Profiler Categories** tile. ![Administration page filtered to risk, showing the Risk Profiler Categories tile](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/01-admin-search-risk-profiler.png) Master Reference Data opens with the **Risk Profiler Categories** tab selected. Each row is one category. Use **Search**, the column filter icons, or the column chooser to find a category, and click **Manage** to open it. The other tabs across the top switch to other Master Reference Data lists. ![Risk Profiler Categories list on the Master Reference Data page](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/02-risk-profiler-categories-list.png) # 4.
