Admin User Manual › VISDOM & Risk Management › Risk Management with VISDOM Artificial Intelligence Overview* **Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments. # 1. Overview At a system level, VISDOM's contribution to risk management is configured and monitored from the **VISDOM AI** category in Administration, which groups three tools. **VISDOM Configuration** (with its Availability, Default extractions, Clause categories, Extraction behaviour, and Models & providers tabs) turns risk-related capabilities like **Clause sentiment**, **High-risk findings**, and **Language Risk** on or off and routes them to an AI model. **VISDOM Status** shows a **Connected & Live** banner confirming the connection to "**CobbleStone VISDOM Services (VaaS)**", with Connection, Capabilities, and Connection & Provisioning sections and **Test reachability** / **Re-authorize VISDOM** / **Sync field metadata** / **Sync obligation types** actions. **VISDOM Usage** tracks how much of the organization's monthly VISDOM allowance has been used. Together these give administrators a single place to enable, verify, and monitor the AI capabilities that feed risk analysis elsewhere in the application, rather than risk management being a single dedicated screen. # 2. Key Elements - Administration > **VISDOM AI** groups **VISDOM Configuration**, **VISDOM Status**, and **VISDOM Usage** as the tools governing AI-driven risk analysis. - On the **Default extractions** tab, **Clause sentiment** and **High-risk findings** read the clause pass, so they can only run when **Clause extraction** is turned on. - On the **Models & providers** tab, the **Language Risk** ("Flags risky / non-standard contract language") and **Sentiment** ("Scores clause sentiment (favorable/unfavorable)") services are listed as "Model chosen by VISDOM Services". - **VISDOM Status** confirms a live connection to **CobbleStone VISDOM Services (VaaS)** and offers **Test reachability**, **Re-authorize VISDOM**, **Sync field metadata**, and **Sync obligation types** actions. - **VISDOM Usage** tracks monthly VISDOM word consumption against the monthly cap, with a per-user breakdown. Access may depend on the administrator's permissions. # 3. Opening the VISDOM AI Tools 1. From the homepage, open **Administration** (the settings icon at the bottom of the left navigation bar). 2. Scroll to the **VISDOM AI** category at the bottom of the page. 3. Select **VISDOM Configuration**, **VISDOM Status**, or **VISDOM Usage**. Each of these pages also links to the others from its **Elsewhere** buttons or header links. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/risk-01-admin-visdom-ai.jpg) # 4. Turning On Risk-Related Extractions The **Default extractions** tab sets which extraction passes are ticked the first time someone runs VISDOM on a document. After that, each person keeps their own last selection in Create with VISDOM and Edit with VISDOM, so this is a starting point, not a limit. 1. From the homepage, open **Administration** → **VISDOM Configuration**. 2. Click the **Default extractions** tab. 3. Under **Clauses**, select **Clause extraction**. This enables the **Clause sentiment** and **High-risk findings** options. 4. Select **Clause sentiment** and/or **High-risk findings**, then click **Save default extractions**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/risk-02-default-extractions.jpg) **Note:** The **Availability** tab includes a **Turn VISDOM AI off for everyone** switch. While it is on, nothing calls VISDOM, so no risk analysis runs anywhere in the system. # 5. Reviewing the Risk Services in Models & Providers 1. From the homepage, open **Administration** → **VISDOM Configuration**. 2. Click the **Models & providers** tab and scroll down to **Per-Service Routing**. 3. Find the **Language Risk** and **Sentiment** rows. Both are marked "Model chosen by VISDOM Services", so their provider and model are managed by CobbleStone rather than set here. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/risk-03-models-providers.jpg) # 6. Verifying the VISDOM Connection **VISDOM Status** is a live snapshot of the VISDOM Services connection and the AI capabilities enabled for the environment. The page reads configuration only and does not call VISDOM, so no quota is used. 1. From the homepage, open **Administration** → **VISDOM Status**. 2. Confirm the banner reads **Connected & Live**, and review the **Connection** and **Capabilities** sections. 3. Under **Connection & Provisioning**, use **Test reachability** to check the connection, or **Re-authorize VISDOM** to approve the connection again and get fresh tokens when the access token has lapsed. **Sync field metadata** and **Sync obligation types** are also available here. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/risk-04-visdom-status.jpg) # 7. Monitoring VISDOM Usage **VISDOM Usage** shows word consumption across VISDOM AI services for the selected period. It reads the usage logs directly, so no VISDOM call is made and no quota is used. 1. From the homepage, open **Administration** → **VISDOM Usage**. 2. Choose **Monthly** or **Daily**, pick a period with the date picker, and select **VISDOM Basic** or **VISDOM+**. 3. Review the totals (total, prompt, and response words, plus monthly averages), the **Monthly Cap Usage** bar, and the **Per-user breakdown** table. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/risk-05-visdom-usage.jpg) **Note:** If no usage was logged in the selected month, a banner names the most recent month with logged usage. # 8.
