**Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

# 1. Overview

A task is opened from either the **My Tasks** widget on Home (its title link routes straight to the underlying record) or a record's own **Notices and alerts** panel via the **Go to task on this record** link, which deep-links to the record's **Tasks & Emails** tab (?tab=tasks) rather than a separate pop-up window.

# 2. Key Elements

- **My Tasks** (Home) → clicking a task's title opens the record it belongs to
- A record's **Notices and alerts** → Task notice → **Go to task on this record** link jumps straight to that record's **Tasks & Emails** tab
- The URL pattern m/contracts/{id}?tab=tasks is how a task deep-link is expressed for a contract
- Once on the record, the **Tasks and Workflows** section (alongside Emails) is where the task itself is reviewed and answered
