# How To: Generate Client ID and Client Secret

Once logged into Contract Insight, the following instructions can be followed to create the CobbleStone® Software Client ID and Client Secret.

Note:

This is only accessible by System Administrator users within the system

1. From the main menu, select My > My API Clients *(Main Menu item locations may differ due to system configuration)*

2. In the side menu, select Add API Client from the Actions section

3. On the Add API Client page:

- Enter a descriptive name (e.g. name of the application the API will be used for)
- Ensure Enabled is set to Yes
- Click to OK button

4. The Application is now saved and the Client ID and Client Secret are generated
