CobbleStone® Software Helper Applications

Welcome to CobbleStone® Software's Helper Applications page of the Documentation Wiki. All of our Contract Insight clients are free to use the helper applications provided on this page. Each of the links below will install an application on your computer through Microsoft's ClickOnce Install.  To manually update any of the below applications, click Install Now for the applicable application. New versions can be found here.    

CobbleStone® PC Helper App
(replaces Enterprise File Utility)

Description:
- File upload and download tool. Can be used independently or with our Microsoft Word and Outlook plugins.
  - Drag/Drop operations for uploading and downloading documents
  - Access to Clause Library
  - Add and update records for the main areas (Contracts, Requests, Purchase Orders, E-Sourcing/Solicitations, Vendors and Employees)
  - Search for existing records and associated files
  - Task alerts
  - Integration with Microsoft Word (Optional)
  - Integration with Microsoft Outlook (Optional)

Microsoft Word Plugin

Description:
- Upload a document to Contract Insight directly from Microsoft Word
  - Find and copy clauses into documents
  - Add and update records for the main areas (Contracts, Requests, Purchase Orders, E-Sourcing, Vendors and Employees)

Microsoft Outlook Plugin

Description:
- Upload attachments to Contract Insight from Microsoft Outlook.
  - Customizable ribbon buttons
  - Add and update records for the main areas (Contracts, Requests, Purchase Orders, E-Sourcing, Vendors and Employees)

Requirements:
CobbleStone® PC Helper App or Enterprise File Utility
Contract Insight Version 17.6.0 or higher
Microsoft Windows OS
Microsoft Outlook 2013 or higher
Windows Installer 3.1
.NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher
TLS 1.2 or higher enabled

Note: When installing the Outlook Toolbar Plug-In, close Outlook entirely and install the latest version of the Toolbar by navigating to CobbleStone® via the top navigation menu's Help item and select Helper Applications. Download the appropriate file and run it.

If the Toolbar is not displaying as intended, Open Outlook, Open the File menu and click Info. Once the page displays, click Manage COM Add-ins. A pop-up window displays. Next, select the CSOutlookSendFile item and enable the plug-in. Finally, close and restart Outlook. The plug-in should be operating as intended.

PDF OCR Utility

Description:
CobbleStone® Software's PDF OCR Utility provides our clients with an easy-to-use OCR tool. This tool will convert any image-based PDF file into a text-searchable PDF File. PDF Files that are text-searchable can be searchable within Contract Insight's Full Text Indexing/Searching.

PDF E-Sign Utility

Description:
CobbleStone® Software's PDF E-Sign Utility provides our clients with an easy-to-use electronic signing of PDF Files. This tool will allow a user to select a PDF and "electronically sign" the file with either an image or by typing in their initials.

These files are an alternative to the standard installation files found on the CobbleStone® wiki.

How to Install Silently

• msiexec.exe /i "CobbleStone PC Helper App.msi" /QN /L*V "C:\Temp\msilog.log"
• msiexec.exe /i "CobbleStone UploadAddInSetup.msi" /QN /L*V "C:\Temp\msilog.log"
• msiexec.exe /i "CobbleStone ExcelPluginSetup.msi" /QN /L*V "C:\Temp\msilog.log"
• cmd /C "Outlook Plugin.EXE"

These are commands to run from the Command Prompt. Log path and command arguments can be adjusted. These files can be used for installation other ways as well.
