Partial Support Definition:

Partial support is a varied concept with browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Opera as the partial component really depends on when the version was released as compared to the version of Contract Insight the client/user is running. Typically speaking, if the version of the browser is no later than 3-6 months older than the version of Contract Insight the client/user is running, there should be partial support. Google Chrome releases are all put out through “builds”, each of which has its own version number (for example: 41.0.2272). As they put out new builds the numbers increment up (depending on the depth of the changes). This type of versioning is very similar to how we do versioning of Contract Insight. Chrome by default also has an “auto-updater” component whereby Google Chrome will automatically update as Google releases new “stable channels” (stable releases). This is done to ensure that users of chrome are working with the most up-to-date version of their browser.

A key point to keep in mind when dealing with Google Chrome is that it is CobbleStone®’s best practice recommendation to any client/user that the auto-updater component of Chrome be left on to ensure the browser is continually being updated/patched as new patches, releases, enhancements and issue resolutions arise and are put out in new releases.
