The CobbleStone Add-Ins for Microsoft Outlook and Word are free tools designed to enhance workflow and integration between Contract Insight and Microsoft applications—without requiring additional software. These add-ins allow users to attach emails, create and update records directly from Outlook, and streamline document editing within Word. Both add-ins are available for use in application-level versions (Desktop Apps) and browser-level versions (Online).

We’ve expanded the functionality of the CobbleStone Add-in for Word to make creating records even easier.

What’s New?

• Record Creator in CobbleStone Add-in for Word:
  • Users can now start a VISDOM Add process directly from Word.
  • Click Create with VISDOM on the record tab to begin.
• Smart Data Extraction:
  • The system automatically extracts key information from your document and populates fields in the new record.
  • If a dropdown value doesn’t exist, you’ll be prompted to add it.
• Clause Import:
  • After field data is populated, you can select which clauses to import into the Found Clauses table.
  • Extracts GSA and common clauses for quick setup.

RESOLUTION:  CobbleStone Add-in for Outlook: Large File Uploads

Clients reported issues when uploading large files through the CobbleStone Add-in For Outlook. While smaller files uploaded successfully, larger files (over 60 MB) often failed. This caused frustration for users who previously relied on the PC Helper App for handling large documents.

Adjustments have been made to improve handling of large file uploads through the CobbleStone Add-in for Outlook.

RESOLUTION:  CobbleStone Add-in for Word: Error When Starting IntelliSign or IntelliApprove from Linked Record

In the new CobbleStone Add-in for Word, when a file was linked to a record and they attempted to start a new IntelliSign or IntelliApprove process from the Linked Record feature, an error occurred. This issue affected both Word Desktop and Word Online.

Users can now initiate IntelliSign and IntelliApprove processes directly from the Linked Record feature in the Word Add-In without encountering errors.

It was reported that when adding files through the CobbleStone Add-in for Word, edited files or files with the same name were showing incorrect version numbers. For example, after adding a file and then editing and re-adding it, the system labeled the new upload as another Version 1 instead of incrementing the version correctly.

We updated the versioning logic for files added via the CobbleStone Add-in for Word. The system now correctly identifies edited files and assigns the appropriate version number, ensuring accurate version tracking.

When using the CobbleStone Add-in for Word, the Clause Library displayed clauses that had been deleted in the system. This caused confusion and risked users selecting outdated or invalid clauses.

We updated the way the CobbleStone Add-in for Word retrieves clauses so that deleted clauses are no longer included in the Clause Library view.
