**Adding a Vendor/Company: Companies Overview**

The **Companies** portion of Contract Insight is a relationship management tool that allows you to maintain business relationships no matter what the relationship type may be.

Contract Insight features contact management functionality to keep track of external contacts (**Companies**). The term **Company** is a generalized term that refers to vendors/suppliers/providers, customers/clients/partners, respondents/awardees, and/or any other people or entities with which you or your organization has a contractual business relationship.

The **Companies** portion of Contract Insight also provides users with the ability to manage and organize your business relationship contacts even if you have many different types of business relationships within your organization.
