**Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

# 1. Overview

The Calendar screen (left-nav Calendar link) shows three toggleable filter chips above the grid — **Contracts**, **Solicitations**, and **Tasks** — each labeled with a live count of matching items in the current month (for example "**Contracts** 2," "**Solicitations** 0," "**Tasks** 56"). Clicking a chip turns that category's events on or off in both the Month and Agenda views, letting a user narrow the calendar to just the record type they care about. A **Search this month** box in the top-right further filters the currently-visible month's events by text, independent of the type chips.
