Admin User Manual › VISDOM & Risk Management › Application Translation* **Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments. # 1. Overview Contract Insight can be displayed in languages other than English. Each user picks a **Display language** from their profile menu, and administrators use **Administration → Translations** to set or correct the wording of **field labels** and **top menu** items for each language. Anyone using that language sees the wording entered there instead of the English. Administrators can also add languages, or switch a language off so it no longer appears in everyone's language picker. Record data always stays in the language it was entered in. # 2. Key Elements - **Translations** page: choose a **Language**, an **Area** (**Field labels** or **Top menu**), and, for field labels, a **Table** (for example, Contract Details, Vendors/Customers, or any custom sub-table). - Each row shows the **Source (English)** text with editable **Translation** and **Tooltip** boxes. An untranslated row shows the English text greyed out in the Translation box. - A **Filter…** box narrows the rows, and a counter shows the number of items and unsaved changes (for example, “177 items · 0 unsaved”). Changes are kept only after you click **Save changes**. - **Manage languages** opens the **Languages** panel, which lists each language's **Status** (for example, **Offered**) and how many **People using it**, with **Edit** and **+ Add language** actions. - **Change language** in each user's profile menu opens the **Display language** picker. - Text in the Core System and Vendor Client Gateway can also be controlled by the Regional Setting for the Employee or Company Contact. # 3. Navigating to Translations 1. From the Contract Insight homepage, click the **Administration** (settings) icon at the bottom of the left navigation bar. 2. Type *Translations* in the **Search administration…** box, or find it under **Configuration & Fields**. 3. Click **Translations**. ![Administration page with the Translations tile highlighted](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/apptr-01-admin-translations.png) The Translations page opens with no language selected. Choose a **Language**, **Area**, and **Table** to begin, or click **Manage languages** to add or switch off languages (see Section 6). ![Translations page with Language, Area, and Table selectors and Manage languages button](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/apptr-02-translations-empty.png) # 4. Optional: type in the **Filter…** box to find a specific field. 6. In the field's row, enter the wording in the **Translation** box. Enter help text in the **Tooltip** box if needed. 7. Click **Save changes**. The counter above the table shows how many changes are still unsaved. ![Field labels for Contract Details in Spanish with Translation, Tooltip, Filter, and Save changes highlighted](https://cdn.document360.io/e3626857-1fb5-4e27-b278-2d3fc5508be4/Images/Documentation/apptr-03-field-labels.png) **Note:** Use the **delete** (trash) icon at the start of a row to remove that row's translation. # 5. Translating Top Menu Items 1. On the Translations page, select the **Language**. 2. Set **Area** to **Top menu**. The **Table** selector is hidden because menu items aren't tied to a table. 3. Type in the **Filter…** box to find the menu item (the list can contain over a thousand items). 4. Enter the wording in the **Translation** box. Untranslated items show the English text greyed out. 5.
