**Note:** Each procedure in this guide begins at the Contract Insight homepage, so any section can be followed on its own. Custom fields are configurable, so the exact field list on a contract category record may vary between environments.

# 1. Overview

The **Tables** section sets the report's **Primary table** — what each report row represents — chosen from the same long list of built-in and custom **tables** used throughout Administration; joined **tables** can then be added to bring in related columns from elsewhere.

# 2. Key Elements

- Insights → Reports → Add report → **Tables**: "The **primary table** is what each report row represents. Joined **tables** bring in related columns."
- **Primary table** is picked from a searchable combobox listing every built-in and custom table, then confirmed with **Set**
- Once **set**, the Fields section's available columns are drawn from that **primary table** (and any **tables** joined to it)
